Introduction to Computer Science
A study of discipline a student must know:
 The history of modern computers and other modern equipment;
 construction of modern computers and other equipment;
 principle of modern equipment. 
Course goals and learning objectives
The purpose of discipline "Means of Computer Information Systems" is to familiarize students with the basics of building a modern computer systems and their operation.
Tasks - to acquaint students with the general structure laptops, servers, PCs detailed structure. 
Course description

CHAPTER №3: CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT
CHAPTER №4: MOTHERBOARDS, SYSTEM BOARDS, & MAINBOARDS
CHAPTER №5: MEMORY
CHAPTER №6: DATA STORAGE DEVICES
CHAPTER №7: OUTPUT DEVICES
CHAPTER №8: INPUT DEVICES
Laboratory classes 1. Defining computer elements. Identify each element of the computer and know its purpose.
2. Determination of processor type and characteristics.To consolidate theoretical material, to learn to determine the type and characteristics of the processor.
3. CPU testing. Consolidation of students' knowledge of basic technical characteristics, method of maintenance and repair of the processor.
4. Processor identification. Learn how to identify the processor AMD and INTEL
5. Basic input-output. BIOS. The main elements of the software. Renewal. Beeps. Major faults. Settings.
6. Research and obtain information about the chipset using various programs. Investigate your PC chipset with various software.
Assessment criteria
During the course of development, the following control measures:
1. Oral examination in defense labs;
2. Routine testing subjects laboratory work;
3. Unit testing;
4. Writing of control work;
5. The final semester test.
