Course goals and learning objectives
The purpose of the study of the discipline: the acquisition of students theoretical knowledge and practical skills in working with the hardware part of personal computers, understanding the principles of the PC, the interaction of its components. Tasks of the discipline: the study of the principle of action, functional and schematic basis, constructive, operational characteristics of various components that are part of the structure of modern personal computers. |

Lectures | Systems of calculation. Binary, hexadecimal, decimal number system. Boolean algebra. Arithmetic operations with integers. Arithmetic operations with fractional numbers. The concept of information. Units of measurement of information. The concept of information and entropy. Elementary logic: YES / NO. An elementary memory cell. Units of measurement of information. Encoding systems (ASCII, Unicode, UTF). Files Structure of information in computing systems. Files File names. Folders The structure of the folders. Encoding systems. Operative and permanent memory.
